Exemplary Programs symbolize the highest educational standards recognized by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC). The award is presented to programs that have proven full compliance with all ACFEFAC accreditation requirements in the last visiting team report along with excellent management of the program.

Heart of Illinois Professional Chef's Association
While not affiliated with Illinois Central College, the HOI Chef's Association is a local association of chefs united by the common goal of sharing knowledge, supporting the local culinary industry, mentoring young chefs, promoting education opportunities for aspiring chefs, fostering fellowship, and engaging and strengthening the Central Illinois community as a whole.
Culinary students are welcomed and encouraged to be a part of the association and utilize the vast networking possibilities and lifelong continuing education. Check out the club here!
